It didn’t begin as a plan. It began as a simple act of care. What followed was not just a response to a moment, but the start of something that continues to grow. It’s a journey shaped by compassion, community, and the belief that even the smallest act can make a meaningful difference.
Our Story
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
In 2020, as London fell silent, thousands faced an unseen crisis, hunger, isolation, and uncertainty. At Panas, we saw more than empty streets. We saw people in need. So we started with what we knew best, which is cooking. A few meals were prepared for frontline workers and vulnerable members of the community. Then a few more. And then hundreds. What began as a small response to a crisis became something far greater.

With every plate served, our belief strengthened. And, we believe, food has the power to bring people together, even in the hardest times.
What started during the COVID-19 pandemic did not end there. Every week on Tuesday, our team continues this mission, preparing and serving hot meals to those experiencing homelessness across London. This weekly initiative, inspired by the spirit of Giving Tuesday, has become a part of who we are. Because for us, giving is not a moment, it is a commitment.
